My task is to create a magazine cover and contense pages. Language is about how the text or speech is mad e within a piece of media, whether it being a piece of text of speaking in a piece of film, what is said. The language I need to use needs to relate to students to make it work as a college magazine, it needs to be relevant towards what students want to read about. The institution is the company a product is representing for example a Pepsi advert would be instituted by the company that makes Pepsi. The institution my college magazine will be instituted by is wyke itself. Ideology is what values and belifes are shown by a peice of media text. The ideology show by my magazine be that the college is a good and respected place with well behaved students and plenty of sucess. Audience is what group of people a piece of media is aimed at, for example a mans aftershave would be aimed at men. My magazine will be aimed towards students at the college, so both male and female - between the ages of 16-19. Representation is all about what a media peice it trying to represent from its product. My magazine will be representing the college and the students which attend it.
